What follows is a prayer that you might pray to express your trust in the gospel of Jesus Christ; these are not magic words; they are simply similar to what anyone might pray who is truly trusting Jesus Christ for salvation.
God, I understand Your plan for my sins to be forgiven. I confess that I have sinned. I believe that You loved me enough to allow Jesus to suffer the penalty for my sin in my place on the cross, and that you raised Jesus from the dead to prove He is sufficient to save me. I place all of my faith in Jesus Christ alone to save me and to forgive my sins and provide eternal life to me. Thank You for saving me. Help me now to please You with my life. I ask these things in Jesus’ name, amen.
