Thank you for reading this devotional today. During the last few weeks, we have been working through the events of Abraham's life in the Old Testament and the record of these events in the New Testament. God's record given in the New Testament intrigues me. He speaks of Abraham in a faith-way. Some of the details of the events of the Old Testament are not reflected in the New Testament record.

I would like to give you a study of passages to help you better understand the correlation between the Old Testament events and the New Testament record. These are a few correlating Scriptures:

  1. Hebrews 11:8-11 to Genesis 12:1-4
  2. Romans 4:5 to Genesis 15:6
  3. Hebrews 7:1-17 to Genesis 14:17-24
  4. Romans 4:8-13 to Genesis 17:7-14
  5. Romans 4:18-22 to Genesis 17:15-22 & 18:9-15
  6. Hebrews 11:17-20 to Genesis 22:1-14

Three other verses that intrigue me are found in Genesis 18:16-18, when God was about to send fire and brimstone (judgment) on Sodom and Gomorrah. God wanted Abraham to know in advance ... why?

Spend some time in the Word of God today and ask God to reveal a truth to you that you can personally apply.

Next week, we will have our mid-week service on Tuesday, June 26. This was to be our fourth revival for the year, but we had a cancellation. Thank you for your commitment to the Lord and His work.
