What is Kidz World? We are "Training KIDZ to be a light to the WORLD!" We believe that a children's ministry should be much more than just a place to go while the adults are serving and worshipping. Our goal is to assist parents to help our children understand our Bible and love the God who wrote it. We want to help children understand that our Bible is full of stories of real people with real problems from real places. It is a history book, yet it is much more! It is His Story, provided by our God, our Creator, to show us how to live our life every day in a manner that is pleasing to Him. Our leaders strive to help children understand God's Word, apply it to their life, then share those truths with others in our community.
So what do we do?
Sunday School is divided into four departments: 4 & 5 Year Olds, 1st & 2nd Grades, 3rd & 4th Grades, and 5th & 6th Grades. After Sunday School, parents may pick up their children to sit in the adult service with them or the children may attend one of our three services designed specifically for their age group: 4 & 5's, 1st & 2nd Grades, and 3rd-6th Grades.
Our two children's choirs give our kids an opportunity to praise the Lord through music. They meet each Sunday, during the school year, at 5:00. They will learn the songs and some fundamental truths of singing while serving with their friends. Our children's choirs will sing periodically throughout the year in our Sunday evening service and other special meetings.
Throughout the year, our church family serves together in what we call Great Commission Night. While the adults are out visiting in the community, serving in the Food Pantry, assembling Bibles in our printing ministry, or in a Bible study, the children attend one of two age graded groups. We call this KidMission Night. These children will do various activities throughout the year including learning about missions, writing missionaries, serving in a local retirement home, and preparing for Master Club Regional Competitions.
We want to invite every child who is three years old through sixth grade to Master Club! We begin at 7 PM and during the next 100 minutes, the children will rotate through Rally Time, Bible Time, Book Time, Game Time, and Award Time. Each child has their own book and will have the opportunity to earn various badges and other awards as they complete various projects in their book.
